Actually, I've perused whole lists of Flickr mashups, tools, and webaps, and don't see much I want to do with any of them. For me, I like my photos to be representative of my memories, and I have no desire to mess with them and make them jigsaw puzzles, or change the colors, or put balloon captions on them. (Unless it's on pictures of cats.) Just thinking about putting a balloon message in a picture of my mother gives me the creeps, but maybe that's because the last picture I have of her is in her coffin.
As for games, well - I've managed to be bored by PacMan and Tetris, and Bejeweled, and it doesn't look like Flickr games are going to catch my fancy either. Even Solitaire games can only hold my attention so long ... I think it's because I like games only with real interaction with other players. I liked to play bridge, and Risk, and other board games, but part of the fun is to have the companionship of the other players. Playing with the computer can't keep my attention.
I'm thinking that moving on to RSS feeds will amuse me more.

Playing with Trippermap
Still Week 3 Playing with Trippermap, but my map won't appear. Drat! I've tried to paste both versions, java and non-java, but it is not (gritted teeth) working. Hmmph. Back to the drawing board.

Granny's House
This is much more like it, as you can see by the difference in the titles. I had originally thought it was a picture of my mother's house, two doors down, in the spring. Now I know it is my grandmother's house, and taking note of the date, is on her birthday.
Mama's House in Spring
Week 3: #7 Photo Editing Tools
Well, I tried Pixer and Snipshot and Picnik, but ultimately decided that Picnik's ability to link with my Flickr account made it more useful. This is my Grandmother's house -- in the original photo it's very blurry. With Picnik I was able to sharpen it up and fix the exposure a little. Not enough to make it a really good picture, but much more "Granny's" than the original. This is the original, and the next post will be the improved version.

Tessa
One thing I also have too many of is pets. This is Tessa, my 14 year old cocker spaniel/golden retriever mix. Not seen in this picture are the seven cats. Yes, seven (Still not Cat Lady yet but getting there)....
And yes, they are indulged like children. So I'm fitting into the stereotypical spinster librarian slot here.
